I've been looking into getting some appearance hood pins for my mustang lately. I have a black and white look on my car so I was going to go with the black hood pins. Personally I don't want the silver wires so I'm going to plastidip then paint them black so they look alittle better but I wanted to know if anyone had any pics of there mustang with some good pins. Thanks guys!
Heres a pic i have ... i recently added the chrome hood pins but my car is black. i used to have a silver stang and had the black hoodpins but found that the paint would come off when removing the pin
Also i would not worry too much about plastidipping the wires, u hardly notice them since they are so thin but thats my opinion. if you do dip them i think they would look good aswell.
***ALso, DONT BUY YOU PINS FROM AMERICAN MUSCLE!!!, Late Model Resto has the exact same ones for 39$ instead of 59$... I got mine for 20$ on black friday
Here ya go. Gonna drill my hood soon and replace these with the real thing, but without lanyards. The new set will be black anodized. The ones here are 3M and have been on for two years.

Many, many, many, many 130 MPH runs on the factory driveshaft, with 2.73's and 3.55's! One @ 140 MPH for several miles. I drive her like I stole her!
"...You gotta put that hammer down and give it HELLLLLL!..."
For those that DO have the pins, have you noticed any paint (clear coat) damage from the lanyards fluttering around under streamed lined wind pressures?
Someone in my area has these pins on his 2011 mustang, with lanyards, but he ran the steel cable through a clear piece of soft plastic tubing...looks kinda funny and out of place.
Thanks for sharing info guys!

I was at a Ford Dealer last night and there was a white 2013 with blacked out accents and trim. It had all black hood pins and looked fantastic! Ran over 3 cars before I could tear my eyes away from it...
Wish I'd had the time to take some pics....your car will look great with them.

Since you're just looking for appearance and not the function of a traditional hood pin kit, check out our Black Hood Pin Appearance kit. It's just 3M tape on the back side of the mounting bracket, no need to drill through your hood. Plus, it comes in black, which would look sick with your white Mustang!
Let me know what you think!

I didn't even like the hairpins and lanyards on my '70 Chevelle so I changed them to Mr. Gasket hood locks.

Get real hood pins or no pins at all. I saw a civic with stick on hood pins the other day. Nevermind don't listen to me I have the stock hood scoop that isn't functional, but I didnt add that, it was on the car at the dealer.
