Curious to see what people's opinions are about how the headlight splitters look on a 13-14. Been on the fence about this and I saw that AM has $25 off pre-painted parts going on right now. Any one have pictures on a Sterling Grey?
Sorry but for me they top the list of absolutely pointless and frivolous modifications; they serve zero no function. They also don't even mimic a possible function like fake side scoops or hood scoops. At least those mods impersonate real functional components.
Present: 2012 Mustang GT - California Special Package - Race red - Electronics package - Security package - 3.73 - Steeda shift knob
Past: 2011 Mustang V6 - Pony Package Premium Coupe - Black - Charcoal Leather - Roush Front Fascia - Matte Black Lemans and Hockey Stick Hood Stripes - 6% HP Charcoal Tint - 3.31
Since when do mods have to be functional? There's a lot of mods made purely for appearance. This is one.
That being said, it's definitely kinda funky. I think they look better on the 13/14 as seen in the photo above from the AM video, compared to previous years, because the 13/14 have more body colored trim work around the front grill to meet the splitters on both sides. They are not my taste, but I've seen cars with splitters that looked good, and I've seen much worse looking mods on Mustangs. To each his own.
