Well unfortunately on the way home to my house early Monday morning i crashed my mustang . It was about 1:30am and i was heading home, it was a bit slick, about 35 degrees out and as i was entering a corner in a 50mph zone as soon as i went around the bend there was a Nice Big buck standing in the middle of the road! Now i have heard the term "don't veer for deer" but that was the last thing i thought about, i instantly slammed the brakes and the car went up over the curb into a guard rail and it was over from there. Now i still have my Pzeros on my car as i was planning on putting my winter wheels and tires on this weekend. after hitting the guard rail i tried counter steering back towards the road but i had zero traction and went across the 2 lane road up onto the middle island, broke the passenger rear axle, both passenger wheels are done, front fender and bumper, driver door smashed up from sliding on the grass into a small tree, passenger mirror, some black box that sits up under neath the rear of the car (not sure what it is) and the driver side rocker. no airbags deployed. hopefully theres no frame damage or anything serious.
glad you weren't hurt...it's totaled, get a new one

Yeah, definitely nickel and dime....make sure they fix every little thing...and with OEM parts. You gotta try to get that repair bill up. If that still doesn't do it, at least you'll know it's fixed with OEM parts and surely has a warranty on the repairs.

I would have to agree it's probably totaled, the damage on the drivers side kinda seals the deal

I would not be able to live with a Mustang knowing it was in a car crash, let alone totaled. Get a new one. Btw was it a GT or a V6?
It doesnt look totaled to me body wise you need a new bumper, new fender new door, pair of new wheels, i bet your tie rod is bent up pretty good too and possibly the control arm, but i highly doubt the insurance company will total it out.
Do whatever you can to get it written off. Where I live the law says you have to declare any damage over $2000 at the time of resale. That totally destroys the resale value of the car. They may be able to fix it, but insurance will never cover the lost resale value. Don't accept it being fixed.
IMO you should have just hit the damn deer. At least only one section of the car would be damaged rather than a bunch of them. Bambi's life < my car.
That being said if it is fixed properly that is the burden of the insurance company. Too many people running around with "I can't drive an imperfect vehicle" syndrome. Machines can be fixed.
