Default Painted rear diffuser

So I got my rear diffuser done at a body shop. It came out great. I think it makes the car look alot more refined and upscale. I was originally going to leave the center black, but than decided to change it at the last minute to all silver. I think my decision came out good, especially because of my black licence plate surround. It looks alot sleeker than the 13's IMO because it doesnt have the black licence plate holder thing either. What do you guys think? should i leave it silver or get it black in the center when i get my roof done. i could plastidip it to. just tryin to get opinions!

also the paint is fresh so it is going to take just a little to fully cure. my rockers were very silver when they were first done and cured to a perfect match. it takes just a little bit of time.

I like the all silver a lot. On the GT/CS diffuser I like the center blacked out but on the stock one I like the way you've done it more.

It's one upscale lookin' sixxer!

Beautiful!
You need to adjust those Roush exhaust tips down about a half inch though. Don't wanna mess up that nice paint!

Thanks for the opinions! Yea I need to adjust the right one its practically touching. The left one is clearing it totally though.

And yea the gt/cs has more of a rear diffuser. The stock v6 bumper is just a bumper with a separate center. I dont know kind of hard to explain but livewire003 gets what I'm talking about!

Anyone have any idea how to adjust it to go down just a tad for the right one? I asked the shop who did it and they said the chrome tip is pretty thick and doesn't transfer heat to much but If I could I should do it.

Well when I lined my frpp up I just crawled under the car and pulled down on the uneven muffler as hard as I could. I had someone standing at the back to tell me when.

That looks awesome. Very refined looking like you said. I have been thinking about having my rear panel and side skirts painted also. Yesterday I priced out the 2013 GT500 Front end so I think Ill end up doing everything at once. I love the 2010-2012 rear but love the 2013 GT500 front. Im hoping that the new 2013 Tiger racing hood will fit behind the new GT500 bumper. I think it'll be a much cleaner look with the car having a more tied together look to it. And the larger open grilles will help the cooling side I need to tackle for next season. My only issue is the large foglights on the GT500 bumper sit right where my turbo is. Ill be ordering the bumper next week just to see if it'll work.

But back on your car. Just try stepping on the tip and the weight should drop it.

Just loosen the clamp a little, adjust the muffler to where you want it then tighten the clamp back up. The axle backs use a pivoting joint so it has a lot of adjustment in it

Ever since I saw yerbuddy's mustang done like that, I wanted to get it done. I've been holding off until I get around to buying the diffuser I want. However it will have to wait since I'm now saving for headers lol.

I was waiting until I got the diffuser I wanted too, but my car was at a friends shop and I asked him if he would hook me up with doing this while it was there and he said okay to my surprise! So I didn't pay anything to get it done!

Solo, your idea would look sick. couldnt you just cut the foglights out of the gt500 bumper and set up a sort of cooling duct for your turbos to stay nice and cool?

And to the guys that said to try and push down on the tip, ill try doing that today to lower it a bit. If that doesn't work you guys are saying loosening the clamp where the axlebacks connect to the mid pipes and than lowering the axleback a little should do the trick? Hopefully I can get under the car without a jack now that it's lowered like I did last time

From your pics it doesn't look like it will be an issue to realign them.

Remember to shop smart. Shop S-Mart.

Super clean!!

Been thinking about doing the same but after getting quoted $200 for just the grill surround I figured I had more important things to get to first, mind telling us ball park price for the skirts\rear? Bodyshop name?

How are the skirts holding up to DD?

My issue is I really like the foglights in the bumper. It already has brake ducts in the lower grille but i think my intercooler will take up all that space. Ill just have to get it in and see if it'll work. I just need to find someone to take this GT/CS bumper and Cervini hood off my hands to help with the couple grand the parts alone are going to cost. lol

I wish I wasn't prioritizing suspension right now or I would take the bumper for sure. I'm still recovering from paying for classes so I'm stretched pretty thin until I get my tax refund in.
