I'm curious how these compare to some of the competitors (Ford Racing, Eibach, Steeda, H&R) ... the price is right, for sure.
It looks like I can use these with my stock shocks/struts for now... I know I've heard that a panhard bar is recommended... is it necessary though?
What about alignment - will I be able to get the front end aligned properly with it lowered or do I need to buy anything else in order to get it aligned properly?

I have these. The alignment was needed but it was very easy to get it back to stock with no exra tools needed. The rear end was the exact same alignment wise as stock nothing changed. They handle great. Looks great. Ride very good for lowering springs. Reduce break dive, squat, and transient movements. I recommend them.

Great info, thanks!! Did you need the camber bolt kit or panhard bar?

No I didn't need either of those things. The front only the toe was off on the passenger side and that's it. If I wanted to and didn't care about my tires i could have just not even got an alignment. The pan hard bar wasn't needed because the rear end was the same as it was stock, it didn't shift at all.

Wow, ok that's great, thanks!!! Hell, for $139 for the set of springs, I might be able to get my car lowered for a great price! I guess if things are out of whack, I can order the panhard bar and install it later if necessary, .. .but you've got the same year car I do, .. so it sounds like I'll be ok... thanks a ton!

AM's site says that for 2011 and up, you need to use the Ford Racing strut mounts. The blurb for the strut mounts says you can't use with OEM struts. Any insight on that. I have a 2012 V6 Perf Pack with 13000 miles so struts should be in good shape. Would like to do springs but not ready to chase a solution.
Got my answer off their expanded description. Need mounts and dampers. Darn!

I don't think so.. everything I read said that you could use the springs with stock shocks/struts if yours are in good shape. so no need to change mounts or dampers.. and from what powerwhee was sharing, he added the springs to his car without doing the camber bolts or panhard bar either... so it seems like I'll be able to lower my car for simply the cost of the springs and a new alignment..

Do you have a pic of your stang with these springs? Please post!

This is the language lifted from the spring product information. Seems pretty direct, but not sure.
"Application. This set of four SR Performance Lowering Springs are designed for use on the 2005 to 2010 GT & V6 Mustangs Coupes. They will also fit 2011 and newer GT & V6 Coupes when used in combination with Ford Racing M-18183-C upper strut mounts and M-18000-A dampers (sold separately). Does not fit convertible models."

I too am interested in these springs for my 2013 V6 PP Coupe.
Your website does state for these springs the following: "the SR performance lowering springs are designed for use on the 2005 to 2010 GT & V6 Mustang Coupes. They will also fit the 2011 and newer GT & V6 Coupes when used in combination with Ford Racing upper strut mounts and dampers".
Can you confirm whether or not these springs will work properly for my stock 2013 V6 PP Coupe without the need for the upper strut mounts and dampers.
You will not need new strut mounts. I didn't need anything other than the springs. The reason american muscle sys struts mounts are "needed" is because the 2011 strut mounts are supposed to be one use only and are supposedly very fragile and can come apart in your hand. not because the springs dont work with the stock strut mounts.
The shop that installed them put spring isolators on my springs for free though. Spring isolators are rubber moldings that go over the bottom of the spring to stop any unwanted noises when going over bumps or on the road. I would recommend if you get your springs installed professionally to add the isolators. My friend with the white 5.0 didn't and his car has a slight clunk when going over bumps with his lowering springs. It is 1.5 in the back and like 1.3 in the front because of the lighter front end on our cars. It evens the car out with a very slight rake in the front. Also keep in mind my tires are 26.8 inch diameter versus the stock 27.8 I think for increased gearing. If I had a bigger sidewall it would fill it out another inch or so.

Powerwhee is correct! You don't necessarily have to run the the upgraded strut mounts and dampers. We've seen these Springs installed without them, like in his case. However, because of the Fragile struts, we have seen these products become necessary if install is not taken carefully! So just take your time, definitely reuse/add the Isolators and you'll be good to go.
