How do you remove the pulley from the power steering pump. I has a allen head socket on the outer end of the pulley.

The pulleys are pressed on, Pulled off. So to remove, you will need the specialized pulling tools designed just for this task.

If you do not have these, go to your local Auto Parts, the better ones will have a machine shop, the high volume chain stores will "Loan" them.

The Allen fitting means nothing, Why Did Ford Choose This????

The pulley is specialized just for the PS Pulley. Pulls from the center hub area, where you see the groove, Press is exerted on the end of the shaft to pull the pressed on pulley off.

Have you Auto Zone guys help, they have a loan a tool---Asked the oldest gut there, he might know what to do.

It grabs the small outer portion thats grooved, a two part sleeve that fits over it. It is a specialized tool, not to be confused with gear pullers. The kit comes with diff size sleeves to remove all manufacturers, not Ford specific. You need this tool or you will screw something up. Also comes with the portion to reinstall the pulley.
