is it true that the kb 2.1 gives power throughout the powerband ,but the vortech / paxton /prochargers give power mid rpm band on up ?
Yes. The centrifugal blowers have an advantage at high revs, and this translates into better results on the drag strip.
The positive displacement blowers have better power at the lower-midrange revs, and this translates into better results on the street, where much more time is spent.
This is the reason roots blowers are so popular with OE manufacturers.

Both do well. The centrifugal blowers have an edge up high on the revs, the positive displacements down low.
Drag strip racing where the norm is dumping the clutch with the motor already in the centrifugal blower's sweet spot gives them a small advantage, all other things being equal.
Street conditions, where launching from 4000+ RPM is NOT the norm, yields better results and driveability from the low end torque of the KB's.
Its all about emphasis. If you live for Saturday night's trip to the strip, you might decide that the ProCharger is the way to go.
If you just do the drag strip thing a few times a year, you'd probably be happier with all that glorious low end postive displacement torque there under you right foot every time you want it.
The difference between a good driver and a mediocre one is larger, for that matter, in the case of a trip to the track, so its just one of many things that can be offset with skill.
Viva la difference, I say. Both are great choices, and both ways have advantages. Just depends on what you want.

i drive on the street a lot and go to the track bout everyother week lol when in seasion. I love the thought of instant power and allso love the sound of the KB

Pure music. I like the sound of the ProCharger too (different, but less whiney than some others).
You know what, though? In their own way, they all sound good. The sound of machinery doing its job has a quality that is nearly universal.
But do we all have our own unique "ear of the beholder" preferences?
LOL, no doubt about it.
There are two distinct, different personalities involved - those who love the ultimate top end wildness you get from a centrifugal blower (similar in many ways to a turbocharger), or the instant response of the twin screw.
I think they are both equally valid points of view.
I'd have one of each (seperate cars, naturally) if I had the money.

yea Ive never have see the procharger in person and I would do the same if had the money and a turbo one also lol. so it would come down to my hole set up wont it

Yes, that's an important variable - and a skill, since many drivers do it wrong or get out of whack and red light.
All the driving skills can be polished and, like the always on blower's power, they are always there to serve you.
I've seen many ultimate dyno machines go down to a well-tuned and driven daily driver making less power but getting it ALL hooked up and making all the right driving moves.

yea I know what u mean this guy I know has like 475rwhp and only runs a high 12s nothing else is done but motor and trans with my suspension done and I think iam a good driver I think with like 400 to 450 I think low 12 maybe 11s?? when my car was all stock I ran a 13.98 once still need to work on launches and 60'

If he's putting that much power through the stock drivetrain and rear suspension, he's getting those old OE LCA's some kind of workout. Probably has wheel hop like mad, too.
He needs to talk to Maximum Motorsports (or somebody, anybody, who makes good adjustable LCA's). Probably needs new shocks and springs, too.

he says he has to save up for suspension work and a few other things he wants to do. Id just like to have a high 11 or low 12 car that I can drive everyday if I wanted to, I got the roush lca havent got to test them out yet the day I finished puttin them on I put it away for winter

I had 4:10's installed long before I bought my K/B, but with my M/T ET street radials, it hooks pretty good. I usually cut high 1.7's to 1.8 60 ft. times with H P Motorsports mega-bite Jr. lca's and subframe connectors being the only suspension work done. I have the 2.1 @ 6 lbs. non i/c and mine is putting out 330 at the wheels. Most people think that the twin screws make all there power down low, which isn't true. They make alot of torque almost instantly but the boost and the horsepower keep climbing with rpm's. You can see that on my dyno chart. Notice how flat the torque curve is. I plan on intercooling and going to 9 lbs. this summer, and then I might have to go to 3:73's.
