i would go with the 03 or 04 svts. Those are pretty much my dream car. They go for around 20-30k if you can afford that.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails

Personally I like the 03-04 Cobras better but the 96-98's are great too. Looks are different as well as performance but in the end go with what you can afford. Good luck with the Cobra hunt

I think that the 94-98 body style looks much better than the 99-04 body style... The guy did not ask for your opinion on body styles he asked for opinions on the best Cobra to buy.

I would vote for any 96-98 Cobra. They have the Teksid blocks and they have 305hp to start off with. That is a nice amount of power to start off with not to mention how easy they gain power too.

Can't remember everything, but the 98's are a standalone year as far as the fuel system.
They are different from the 96,97 in that the sender and fuel pump are integrated together in the same unit, and from the 99's because it is a return style. Might be something with the fuel rails also, can't remember.
With the exception of the focus pump, don't think you can use any others without modifying the basket. From what I've read guys with 98's that need major fuel system upgrades swap to a 96,97 or cobra tank.
Somebody chime in if I'm missing, or wrong about something. haven't read about it it a long time.

plenty of other thread and forums about it if you search.

Why **** around with these other Cobras. You'll be happy you have one, but you'll still have 2vs with bolt ons or superchargers running you mad until you spend more on yours. Just buy an 03/04 and youll see why we ran the camaro and firebird out of business. They don`t call it the terminator for nothing. Also, the car is so sexy, and comfterble. It's a win win scenario
