I want to know what is the best year is for a SN-95 Cobra. Looking to go in that direction. Want to know pros and cons with this car. Anything will help.

1995 Cobra with a 351CI!!!! those were made in LIMITED quantaty but their good cars if you can find one! But that's coming from an Iron Block fan. Their is a huge and AFFORDABLE aftermarket for the 302 and they have a lot of potential and can take a lot of abuse! An excelent engine from ford. But if your wanting outta the box fast then probably a "new edge" cobra. I wouldn't bother with '96-'98 cobra... but that's me.
The 4.6L are good engines but more expensive to mod. And a lil' harder to work on. The '96-'97 had problems with the heads not making the power they expected, but can be fixed by getting new heads. The '94-'95 computers are a little picky on mods, but a tune after mods will cure that. Ultimately the OHC engines (4.6L) can make the most power, but that only matters if you want a 1000hp engine.
ANYWAYS.... take from that what you will and I say "go with the 5oh"
Going on looks... the 96-98 Snakes are dead sexy to me. You can get them for a decent deal and the high revving 4.6's respond well to mods. I've often thought about switching my 96GT droptop for the same version of a Cobra.

the '94-'95 are the same body style as the '96 but the '95 Ford put the real cobra hood on and a different looking spoiler. The '95s are the best looking out of the sn95 cobras.

Yeah thats true. Now I like the tails on the 96-98 better than the 94-95. Vertical looks way sleeker. But for performance...which is easier to achive the 5.0 or the 4.6? and about how much do you think I can get one for?...something decent, minor mods (exhaust, CAI, etc.) nothing internal though...

I personally think that any 94-98 body is the ugliest mustang since the late 70 models. Go with a Fox body or find a 99-04.
they're not that bad man...70 suck so bad though. the reason I'm looking at the 94-98 is because of a money issue. 99-04 is a little too high for me.
if you shop around you would be surprised at the price you can pick a good used 99- 04. there are some good deals out there. don't buy something you really don't want. save some more money and get what your going to be happy with.

just FYI the early sn95's and new edge sn95s are basically the same (in looks). That's why they are both sn95! The insides are the exact same and the New Edge exterior is the same thing but "edgier"! Same design just slightly differnt body parts... I like the look of almost all mustangs, their all unique. some of the Mustang II's I could definately forget about but all the others are excelent in their own way.

best years are:
1996 & 1997 best styling and over-all handling of ANY Mustang and 2003 and 2004 for the HP
man yet again everyone hates on 94-98's if it's what he likes let him get it...he asked for help not criticism

I'd be looking at the 1994/1995 because those Cobras have the 5.0L in them and you just have that many more cubes to work with. Everyone else will have the 4.6L and you will have the 5.0L.

Actually, it was the 99 that had "problems" with the heads not performing up to expectations. 99 was the first year for the tumble port heads and Ford spec'ed the engine at 320hp, it dyno'ed the same as the 96-98 at 305. The recall changed the exhaust to boost the hp to 320 but didn't change the heads. This problem is why there weren't any 2000 Cobras (expcept for the Cobra R) but came back with better machined tumble port heads in 2001.

Cubes aren't the only factor when it comes to HP. There aren't a lot of 5.0's similarly modded to my 4.6 that I can't absolutely dust. The 96-98 Cobras also have the Teksid cast block, which can hold up to 1250hp (some report 1500) and forged crank good to 1000hp.

Wow. Nearly everyone I know hates the Darth Vader look of the New Edge stangs. They're my least favorite.
