Default What do I need to supercharge 2002 mustang GT 5 speed?

I have a 2002 Mustang GT, 5 speed, Flowmaster exhaust, everything else bone stock. My ultimate goal is to install a Kenne Bell supercharger, however I know there are quite a number of supporting mods required in order to do this. I have an idea of what I need but I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me EXACTLY what I need in order to make the SC happen. Thanks a ton in advance!

As long as you run a safe amount of boost with the stock block you'll be fine. The kit should include larger injectors, fuel pump and all the necessities for the install. The tune also plays a very important role, make sure to have it tune correctly or else it could cause a great deal of harm to your car's engine.

Hmmmmmm ok....what do you think a safe amount of boost would be? 10 psi?

I say 6-7 psi for starters. When you start upgrading then more is applicable. Just make sure you get a good tune after the install.

9-10 lbs intercooled would be safe as long as you get a good dyno tune. The kit comes with fuel rails, injectors, not a fuel pump as mentioned, but a boost-a-pump (wires into your fuel pump to increase the duty cycle of the pump). All you really need to buy is 1 range colder spark plugs, and a tube of RTV black sealant to put on the bolt threads that go into the coolant crossover. You would probably also need at least a 90 mm maf.
Then, if you want, you could put on a bigger throttle body, bigger cold air intake, and full exhaust.
You might also want to consider getting a new clutch. Mine started slipping after awhile (stock clutch with 90k) and I went with a Centerforce dual friction clutch. It has great driveability, no chatter, and grips like a mofo.

You will need a bigger throttle body before you have it installed. And fulle exhaust is important to have to get full potential, otherwise your car isnt breathing like it could be and itll lose power with that extra air coming in, its like the car has a cold or something lol. And yes i have a 75mm maf, and everything else comes witht he kit. My shop guy recommended a svt focus fuel pump over the boost a pump. Oh an 10psi is fun, and safe as long as ya have a good tune and as long as your intercooled.

Alright guys thanks a ton for your help. I think I'm ready to begin.

One more quick question. When I get it tuned, should I get it tuned in a shop, buy a tuner, or both?

What not to do before the KB:
Underdrive pullies - you'll have to take them off
Intake plenum - you'll have to take it off
Aftermarket intake manifold - same as above

Yes a Dyno tune is a must. And it really opens up everythng and the car just drives better after coming off a dyno.
