Default Beware! street racers... Now this is father son bonding

So i have recently made an account here and decided ive tell you all some of my street racing stories. ive posted one before about my "epic" dust'ruction of a sebring but this story is a little different and i hope you take take warning after reading this...

a little over a year ago i was driving over to my dads in my mustang. he has a ducati 620i which we work on along with my mustang. He was just oiling the chain and we were going to go for a little drive together afterwards. I had just traded in my 97' v6 mustang for my 99' GT so we were about ready to see what that thing could do. i had spent the winter adding a K&N Cai and flowmaster cat back's. so it was decently quick. anways.... we got out on the road he was leading on his ducati and we ended up on this long strip of road with no one (or so we thought) on the road but us. he stopped and i pulled up behind him (1 lane road) and then he opened it up and i of course did too ( trouble starts) soon i look at my speedometer and it is at about 100mph. he is about 2 car lengths in front of me and doing about the same. we both let of seeing as traffic starts to appear in front of us. then we see 4 bike cops parked right behind the trees we were about to pass 2 walk out and pull us both over. not a good time... anyways we ended up walking away with matching reckless tickets. and 2 separate dates in court! we spent the next 2 months taking driving classes and getting lawyers. we both got pounded by the law but still got off pretty easy i think. considering what we were expecting 3 month driving suspension and $1500 fines. not to mention i can now never be a truck driver anways i hope you all take my story and learn from my lesson. all in all i think its a great story hahaha "you cant be old and wise if you were never young and stupid" right? we learned out lesson yet those damn ricers still get me to open it up on the road. anyways hope you got some sort of entertainment from this maybe a little laugh at my expense.

sorry that happened to you. but street racing is very dangerous and illegal...i used to race stop light to stop light, but the price you pay for being caught isnt worth the thrill. take your car to the drag strip you can go as fast as you can and not worry bout being pulled over. btw thankyou for sharing your story

yeah man it was pretty rough but me and my dad actually got closer though it which was cool. but the 3 month driving suspension and $1500 was not worth the 45 seconds of fun. but again it is very very hard not to smoke those ricers when they pull up next to you at the red lights

Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry all of that happened.
It seems like a life changing experience.

Its good you share with your experience for all but i have to say your pretty stupid to chase your dad on a bike. His bike probably weighs shy of 400lbs and your GT cannot slow down nearly fast enough if he had to make an emergency stop with you behind him. You should consider yourself lucky. ALWAYS take the uninevitable into consideration. Could you live with yourself knowing you ran over your own father because your car cannot slow down while your chasing him?

They probably could have taken ya to jail if they wanted, depending on the speed limit. But that is true father and son bonding right there lol. Sometimes ya have to learn thiings the hard way, apparently thats how i choose to do things.

I try not to race my stang on the road but every once in awhile I will be sitting at a light ,minding my own business, when these 'lil boys' roll up in their lil tweaked out piece of craps thinking they got something, wanting to play. It's hard, but I usually just let em go because it's not worth the risk but I have raced light to light just to show em that this girl knows what her stangs got!! LOL Thanks for sharing your story and I will think about that next time I'm approached on the road.
