I've got a auto '03 GT and I'm thinking Motive 4.10 gear's.... this sound good? I'm savin up so probably like 2 paychecks from now but I'm ordering Sniper Tuning Software. How much are gear installs generally? How much faster will my 0-60 or 1/4 mile be? Will accelerating suck at highway speeds? I know, lots of questions, i'm trying to soak it all in and learn.

gear installs run from a low of @$150.00 to as much as $800.00 depending on the shop and what other parts will be needed for an install and shop around, as you'll get what you pay for
in addition to the gear set, your also gonna' need all the rear end bearings, pinion seal, axle shaft seals and fluid, so that @another $150.00+...
1/4 mile times will depend on your other mods and how well you can hook-up wth street tires
you may actually be slower wth street tires as you get more wheel spin on the launch wth a lower rear gear, now wth a drag radials maybe 2 tenths and wth slick, maybe as much as a 1/2 second in ET...
Go with the FRPP 4.10's I know someone who will do the install for you in Fresno as he specializes working on mustang rear ends. Hit me up with a PM if your interested, he does a great job and guarantee's his work. He did my install and I was very satisfied with the results.

I'm running 390s and like it but I'm rethinking my logic and might go with 370s. Highway speeds are killing my mpg in AZ. Plus I'm turning around 2800rpm at 80mph.
