Default Trouble with pilot bearing- must read!

If anyone ever has any trouble trying to pull your pilot bearing, here is the easiest thing to do!

The pilot bearing tool I rented was junk along with one I bought from craftsman! The only thing it did was tear out the inner plastic ring inside the pilot bearing!

So I read some threads on here with others having the same issue and the best thing that actually works is stuffing bread in the hole!! It was amazing.

All I did was take a 15 mm socket. Then use electric tape or duck tape to tape a penny or somthing over the hole in socket that connects to ratchet. Next just take pieces of bread and stuff in hole. Put socket in pilot bearing and give it a good whack or two with a BFH made out of metal (do not use a rubber one it will never work) but once you pack the bread just add a little more bread then whack whack... add more bread.. whack whack.. then presto! Bearing out!

Way easier then pilot bearing tool and less effort!

Yea... I saw Martha Stewart do that three months ago, the first put soda water on a corroded terminal, then she pulled out a busted headlight bulb with a potato and finally, she replaced the pilot bearing and throwout bearing on her 95' Cobra.
