I like it. It will stand out a little more. And the stang in that pic looks damn good.

I am going to paint my pony black soon. I am going for the all blacked out look.

I plan on lightly sanding my pony just to get some of the smaller imperfections off and then going over it with probably 3-4 coats of black and then 3 coats of clear. If it turns out bad then I will just get a new pony and have my friend at the body shop paint it black for free. lol

How did you do it? I just plan on getting a finer grit sandpaper to get out some of the smaller imperfections and then do 3-4 coats of black with some sanding and then 3 coats of clear. I am hoping that that will be more than enough. Have you had any problems with paint flaking off?

All I did was a little fine sanding one coat primer and two coats of matte black. That was it!

Just use some 1000 grit for quick scuff and I think I used Testors plastic paint.

thanks for all the replies, I ended up painting it black, it didnt look right on a silver stang. Looked good up close but from a distance it didnt look right at all. I ended up painting it silver to match the car and she looks good. The chroms stood out a little too much for my liking
