I took mine to Shmit Automotive...they build NHRA cars...all they charged me was 300 for the install...plus the parts witch you can get everything for around 260...so that is 560...they must think you got money or no brains...that is why I hate most mechanics out there...they are the biggest scam artist's.

keep calling around, that is way to expensive. the gears should cost no more than 200 bucks. install is pricey but not that bad. at least it shouldnt be that bad. keep shopping around, there has to be a shop with fair prices.

well i have called every transmission shop in my area end pretty much everyone has told me 3-5 hours labour for install. with a bearing kit(which i need) 4-6 hours at 85.00 an hour so about 350-500 for install. I topld them everyone is telling me about 250 for install. Every shop has told me 3-6 hours. This sucks lol....I did not expect to be paying almost a grand for some fu*king gears

are there any speed shops or anything like that around you? or are they in limited supply in canada? i bet any place that works on cars could do the install it should not have to be a trasmission place.

If none of the shops will do it for a reasonable price i would try to hit one of the guys that works at the shop and see if they do any side work....what i did with mine and got it done for 150. had them for 3 years and no problems

haha congrats gald I could help with all the questions lol
I have literally called about 20 mechanic shops and they either dont do it or charge 4-6 hours labour at 85.00+ an hour. To me this is ridiculous, I dont think Gears is really worth 800-900 bucks for parts and labour that seems a little excessive. I was really looking forward to getting this done but does not look like i will anytime soon. I might as well just save up for a supercharger. Im gonn go smoke one of these Hopefully i wont be as pissed as I am now lol

He is also putting in royal puperle fluid for no charge(Im supplying it) Needless to say Im happy i finally found a decent price. Fu*k all thos e bull sh!t mechanics out there!!!!

Ya i decided im going to go with the .410 70 MP/h at 2500 is better than what i thought it would be. anyone know how many litres of royal purple i will need? or is it not worth it to bother with the transmission fluid? They said they wouldnt charge me to put it in if there is no problems. Where do you add the tranny fluid? i know where the drain plug is but no idea where u add it lol

If your not gonna ever do a supercharger or turbo, or even nos i would go with 3.73. But if your staying n/a, id skip over 3.90 and go 4.10. They do make a bigger difference and at 70mph and im turning around 2400rpm, but you would notice them over stock gears, but not like 4.10.
