mad at my mustang

Well, i put 4.10's and my 1999 auto mustang gt with a predator tuner. I went to the track tonight for the first time with all that in there and i ran the same time i did stock which is 14.5 it hooked great. What really made me mad was i got beat by a 04 stock auto mustang gt. Ive put new plugs and updated intake manifold in it and oil. I dont know what is wrong with my car does anyone have any idea? i just want it at the speed its suppose to be.

Should i change my shift pressure and shift points because of the 4.10's or not touch that?

Hello fellow Alabamian... let's see, since you do have an automatic, I would modify the shift points, ONLY if you know where your power starts to decline in that gear. That's where you want it to shift. Now about your gears.... I really can't tell you. The 4.10s should have sped you up at least a little. A stock GT shouldn't have beat you... You know it was stock for sure, like is he a friends or did you see under the hood?

All he had was removed cat and flowmasters i talked to him. and yes it gets into overdrive and when it does that its slow down alot.

and actually i took the predator tune off while i was there and put stock tune back on and it actully felt a little faster.

Before you beat up your car. What was the weather like? Weather can play a big part of your track times. Heat and hummidity play a big part. What was the weather like the first time you ran it compared to the most recent time. Bad weather can kill .5-.6ths in the 1/4.

dont people usually have sc's with 4.10s, but get a cai and exhaust and u should feel it a bit better

The weather was great hooked up great. Dunno tho i dont see how a stock mustang with just flowmasters and a removed cat beat me lol

dont mess with the line pressure. you can adjust the torque modulation and shift point that will help. then ext best thing you can do for your auto is a jmod conversion and tranny cooler. You should of been faster with 4:10's and should of fried the tires if they where street tires.

I run a 13.50 in my 01 auto with just gears,cai and exhaust with a predator tune.s

also just leave your car in drive. my car always runs faster just leaving it in drive instead of shifting it.

i just put my stock tune back on and did a comparison. the predator tune made it more responsive and faster in 1-2 then when it hit 3rd i watched the rpms and it didnt move for a second or two but with my stock tune it starts to move right when it shifts into 3rd i hope this makes sense. could something be wrong with the tuner?

if the only thing done to your car is the gears and tune, that could be working against you. the predetor tune is a generic tune for a bolt on car. if you dont have any bolt ons its probably running your car kind of rich. 14.5 still is a little slow for a car with 4.10s. i know its hotter than hell in sc right now and im sure its pretty hot in alabama. im sure the heat had something to do with it. i know my car runs like **** when its hot outside.

did you set up the trany pressure? and did are you runnin 93 octane.. cause 87 octane and programmer dont really help much.. but 93. helps a hellofa lot

nope havent messed with the tranny pressure im sorda new at this stuff also ive been useing 93 senice i bought the car.

like I said before I would not mess with the line pressure a whole just my opinion.
