if you get a supercharger for a bone stock mustang gt no exhaust catback or gears are you really getting the most out of it or will gears and exhaust help it work even better for you?
If your looking for the power of a s/c you really should get the exhaust done!! From headers to the tips!
Gears are also a very good thing to get when adding more power!
i would say the most important add ons to a supercharger are intakes and exhaust. and not just a cai, a larger throttle body and plenum can greatly help a fi car. full exhaust systems like someone previously said are also very beneficial.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails
If you stuff more air into the engine and dont free up the extra exhaust them the engine will not be able to "breathe". So put on some exhaust and free up some ponies.

Without exhaust work with a blower its like running a marathon while breathing through a straw. It will hurt your hp gains. If your going supercharged, do exhaust, at least catback and change the midpipe (not necessarily headers but they can add a nice touch on blown cars), cai and bigger throttle body will need to be added. And yes ported heads and some cams will help a supercharger but itsnt a must do, but of ya got the money then go for it cuz then its gonna be a beast. But with all this done, watch out cuz ya might be getting close to the breaking point for the stock bottom end.

Exhaust, You got power right now try to blow through a bottle. That's like a s/c with the stock exhaust. Now cut the bottom of the bottle off you can blow all you want and she wont stop that just like getting a better exhaust.
IN ALL SHE HAS TO FLOW TO BUILD POWER IN AND OUT!!!!! Get some longtubes 2 1/2" or a 3" exhaust and your golden! If your going to buy a s/c for a couple grand whats a couple hundred!!!
