Default should i trade?

Hey,

i have a buddy of mine that wants to trade me a 96 mustang gt for my honda cbr 600 f3. should i trade or not.... the only thing that comes to my mind that i am second guessing on it it is ford first year of the 4.6.. the only thing that is wrong with the car right now is it is leaking water out of the thermostat on the intake manifold.... which my mustang friends say is normal problem that is easily fixed is this true??? the car has 130k, my bike has 13k with a 98 engine with 6k... i hope i am coming to the right place as i know you guys know your mustangs. if i had pics i would post them. i will try to take them tomorrow and post them up.. thanks for all the help in advance

mustang pros:
all factory
paint is in great shape
130k miles

mustang cons:
intake manifold leaking some water
2 good size dents one in the front fender and one on the drivers door

cbr pros:
98 600 engine
powercoated frame (pearl white)
factory wheels with polisehed lip
Brand new paint (black)
Brand new sprockets and chain
lots of extra parts

cbr cons:
not running on all 4 cylinders right now

take the value of the bike and then the car and decide from there.

well i want to do the trade but i am looking to you guys for the advice on the 96 4.6 is it a good engine?? i just don't want to get ride of my bike and 10k miles later the 4.6 takes a crap.. i am very mechanically inclined so i don't mind wrenching. I guess to sum it all up i just don't want the 96 to be the one everyone stays away from due to alot of problems.

thanks again for all the input

It's not the best 4.6 but when you add and swap the right parts, it can be made into a great car.

The 4.6 engine is a very reliable engine, but the 96 was the first year and plus it has over 100k miles, so it may have small problems with it every now and then. Also depends on how well the owner has taken care of it. Like Fobra said, with the right parts you can make it much better.
