Question 2001 Mustang GT. More HP. Less Money. What Parts to Buy?

Alright, im trying to get more bang for my buck, the only thing i have on my mustang right now is a k&n air filter and flowmaster exhaust, ive talk to a couple of shop guys and asked them what i could do for a quick kick of power, they said to go with the 3.73 gears, get a cold air intake, and maybe get a chip programmer, you guys got any other suggestions...

I would go with the cai and get a programmer. You can also change out your fluids with synthetics.

Gears don't add any power but act as a torque multiplier which in turn will give you more giddy up down low and put your car in it's power band quicker.

Don't forget when you get your new gears you'll need either a tuner or speed cal to recalibrate your gears Unless you know someone with a shop that can do it for you.

i would say gears, tuner and cai. if you do the gears youll need the tuner to recalibrate the speedometer. i have 4.10s in my 02 and i would say it was the best mod i have done so far.

And subframe connectors, one of the first mods anyone should do to a mustang. I felt the biggest improvement from the gears (3.73). The CAI helped more than I expected and so did the pulleys.

Tough choice. I hear it all the time, which gears to go with. I would go with 4.10's so you'll be satisfied with getting the most out of your money.

4.10s!

UDPs are always good unless you have thousands in a sound system that draws a lot of amps.

All the other things you mentioned are good easy bolt ons that provide some good hp.
