Hi there,

I have a 99 auto pony that I'd like to enhance with a CDC Shaker system but I really hate how the hood appliqué that comes with the kit looks.

I can get an original Ford OE Mach 1 hood which looks much, much better.

The question is, does the Mach 1 hood's opening have the necessary clearance for the shaker? Do I have to make some extra adjustments to accomplish this task?

You should also plan to do the grill delete kit that matches the Mach 1 hood.

I think the CDC system will work with the Mach hood. BUT you may have an offset because the 03/04 Mach 1's run DOHC engines, and their intakes are different from yours (I would think the intake might be a little too far forward). There is some foregiveness in the CDC design, but is it enough?

CDC MIGHT know the definitive answer if you contact them directly. Often these aftermarket manufacturers try this sort of thing to broaden their market appeal.
