Question When you buy a different gear ratio do you calibrate speedometer?

So When you buy a different gear ratio do you have to calibrate the speedometer, is that the only thing that gets thrown off or is it for other things to cus if its only the speedometer im just going to wait to get the calibrator.....

nope the speedometer is the only thing that gets thrown off. you might get thrown off because of the change in acceleration though!

I have a 5 speed and got 4.10's and I love them. highway speeds are still fine around 70 mph im at 2000 rpm's in 5th. since ur auto i would def do 4.10 u wont feel too much goin with just 3.73 on a auto

when i bought mine i just bought the gears and the install kit seperate from ebay. the shop you get to install the gears will help you out with the lube and stuff. that kit you are looking at from summit comes with some stuff you dont really need like the diff. cover you dont need unless you just want to have a new one.

its worth buying new bearings for the extra 75 bucks its nice not to worry. also if you have an auto trans it can also throw off the shift points in the trans
