i have a 98 gt heres whats done to it now it has- bbk h pipe 2 chamber flows out the back masd coil packs c&l plenum ford racing wires cold air intake -heres what i have to be installed --i have a set of new bbk shorty headers bbk under drive pulleys p.i heads w/the intake manifold what you think im pushing now an what you think would be the hp gain w/that other stuff?

Now 200ish to the wheels and after maybe 225 assuming your not changing to the pi cams.

dont look for a huge gain from the bolt ons. however your car will feel significantly faster if you do a full pi swap

Headers 2-3hp, pulleys around 5, and pi heads without pi cams maybe 20. I was wrong, maybe 28. What do you think you will get from it?

You wont see 20 hp from pi heads without pi cams... maybe 5

out of brothers performance an other mags-well headers say 8-12 hp under drive pulleys 8-15 heads w/intake around 40-50 oh what you guys think my 1/4 time would be if i had all that put together without the cams?

yea but im brand new to the 4.6 how much is the pi cams? so if i went with the pi cams that would be better than others?can i still get the rough thump with the pi's?

Advertised hp is alot different than actual! 1/4mile times are dependent on traction so that would be hard to estimate. high13's to low 14's maybe?

didnt 98 mustangs come out with 225 hp stock??

when you read a hp rating in a magazine or whatever they are giving you the flywheel hp rating. when you factor in parasitic loss in the drivetrain, you get what is known as rear wheel horse power (rwhp) which is what you get when you put the car on a dyno. just for instance a 99-04 gt is rated at 260 hp at the flyheel (bhp) the rwhp is going to be about 230. most people say its a 15 percent loss.

Yes, thats why i said to the wheels. Assuming 15% drivetrain loss it would be 191.25 to the wheels stock. Again the only way to know for sure it to strap up to a dyno!

PI cams are an upgrade from the non pi but you could still go with an aftermarket cam from say VT or Comp and get even better results.
