You can put lower gears in the car like a 3:73 all the way up to a 4:10. The cobras came with higher end gears. And with the long tubes they will give you more top power. I have the same set up you do and I'm getting sick of the american thunder muffs I got on mine myself. I dont have the car lowered they still have the stock springs and I dont have any problem driving over speed bumps or such. Do you have under drive pulleys? If not there also a nice little add. Doing a tune with your car will help getting the best out of your mods you got. Sometime with the longtubes they will play with your motor running rich or lean. Do you have a white smoke coming out of your pipes (not alot but a little) ? Then you car could be running rich.
Over all keep the long tubes. There one of the best ways to go I think along with many people here. The o/r x-pipe will make it alot louder you could try a catted h pipe that will give you more of a deep to instead of being raspy and make it not as loud.
You have stock 305 hp and 285lb torque
the gt : 260hp and 305lb torque
With lower gears you got him/ But I think you would have had him no matter what.!!!
New mods, cam, intake, heads. Maybe a s/c
