I live in Chicago and all my driving is in the city. I drive 7 days in the week. I use Mobile or Marathon 87 octane like I'm suppose to. I'm on my third fill up with BP gas to see if there's any difference and the best I can do when the low fuel light is on is 160 miles. Is there something wrong with my car or gas? If the car, which is stock with K&N cai, what can it be? If gas, what do you all recomend for the Mustang? | That is terrible gas mileage. You're barely sporting 12 mpg. My crew cab F350 diesels got you beat towing trailers. First off, do you have oversized tires? Did you re gear your car? These things will throw the odometer off if you dont tune your computer. When was the last time you tuned up your car? Do you have larger injectors than needed (running rich). You say you drive city, is there any freeway included in that driving? You always in traffic? I always use 91. Thats the best octane offered in Utah. Is 87 octane what you are " supposed" to use? I thought you want to use the highest octane available. Somone could fill me in on that. Is your car running fine? Just a few things to check.
