Default Questions about difference in rear end parts....

Ive got a spare 8.8 rearend from a 2000 f-150 and i was wondering if any thing out of it would work in a 8.8 for a mustang? Im not talking about axles and brakes just gears and everything inside the diff..Is it worth taking apart before it goes to the scrap yard? the axle tubes are bent as well as one of the axles is the reason i replaced it. thanks

Yes, you could use the gears and carrier from it for any 8.8. Just make sure the carrier is 28 or 31 spline. I believe they are 28, and the explorers are 31......

F150's are 31 spline.....
now if it's a T-loc, keep it, if not, it's not worth much....
