Yeah I would do the PI swap, its gonna be the best place to start. You could always get nitrous.

That hunk of junk? Yeah, well I've made a few special modifications to that yellow 99 Gt, it makes the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and eats turbo japs and poops chevy's
thanks for all the replies. this is my first car that im working on and i dont know a whole lot. ive got CAI, underdrive pulleys, no cats, and throttle body. question is what does PI stand for?
it stands for performance improvement. Its one of the best bangs for your buck ( right up there w/gears). P.I. swap is next on my list before any other bolt ons.

thats for used parts and NOT a head-swap kit either, $300.00 is an average price for a pair of PI cams an a PI intake, you will need somemore NBS parts too...
might try some of the other Mustang web sites classified sections, like the Corral.net or Mustangboards.com
for the price the PI intake and cams will way out perform headers.
if you can't tackle the cams at least do the intake, if you buy used make sure its got an aluminum coolant passage at the front and the front runner goes to the drivers side, lots of people tricking people selling non-pi stuff as PI because of the aluminum passage.
