Default X-pipe on 03 gt auto

I used to have the bassani x pipe with no cats. Great awsome sound at WOT. The reason I removed it was the thumping sound it made while cruising between 1500 and 2500 rpms. I want to get another midpipe. My question is if I buy the catted version does it still have the thumping sound that sounds like it is underneath your feet or is it a smoother sound?

It should be alittle bit smoother because of the cats but not by much. If your looking for something smoother I'd go with a catted or o/r H pipe. All x pipes will be raspy.
Also what kind of muffs are you running. That's also could be part of your problem. I'm running american flows on a o/r x and it has a drone from hell. But I like that.

I am not worried about the raspy issue its the pulsing sound under the floor boards while cuising I couldnt stand. I dont even mind the drone.

I'm running a "bbk" o/r x pipe. I dont have any pulsing at all.
It could be the type of x pipe your running. You can pick one up on e-bay for about 75 bucks.

My catted bassani x pipe doesnt make a thumping sound at lower rpm. You could try the high flow cats, i think that would probably help out a lot.

I was looking at either the mrt catted h-pipe or the magnaflow catted x-pipe. Is anyone here running either one if so what do you guys think or should I go with a different one??

The MRT is one of the best catted H pipes. A magnaflow catted X aint bad either. Depends on what sound you want really.
