does anyone know if cutting is required to install the lm1's on an 03 gt. i didnt think you needed to buy on AM it says you do. any install pointers would be cool too
It's an easy system to install. If you want to keep the old system intact you'll need to drop the rear axle a bit to get the old system out. Otherwise, just cut with a Sawzall above the axle and you're good.
I put the LM I's in my car about a month ago man they sound NASTY....it took maybe 2 hours.. Just a quick cut then you can pull them off. the only difficult part is lining the tips up so they fit flush in the bumper. Kind of need 2 people for that. 1 to hold them in place while the other tightens them. Took maybe an hour and a half or 2.
Sawz-All that *****!!! lol....or use a hack saw i guess if you haven't got a sawz-all. I cut my exhaust off after the muffs before i had it all re-done and with a sawz-all it was like a hot knife through butter.

the install is very easy, i did mine 4 months ago. one tip for you that i did was dry assemble on the ground, i took each connection piece and slide it apart as far as i could and then took a sharpie and marked it. this made it easier when installing and adjusting the pieces under the car. the instructions are pretty good. on cutting, if you cut at the bottom of the axle hoop on each side everything slides out easy. hope this helps, this exhaust sounds great so good luck
