The list of superchargers is almost endless. The KB is a twin screw positive displacement type and will give you ground shredding torque starting at 2000 RPM and carrying all the way through to redline with HP steadily ramping up to a peak around 5600 RPM and tailing off slightly at about 6200 RPM. Look in my gallery and there should be a dyno sheet of what mine looked like.
The Saleen is also a positive displacement setup, but the KB is by far and away the most complete kit on the market, the only thing not included is spark plugs, coolant and gages.
The rest are centrifugal superchargers which will have a SLIGHTLY higher peak HP but nowhere near the torque, especially at lower RPM ranges.

I'm just guessing but the centri style superchargers will return better fuel economy when you are not driving hard.

2003 Mustang GT 5sp coupe Intercooled Procharged D-1
374.3 rwhp at 5465rpm and 368.7 rwtq at 4548rpm at 8.9psi on a Mustang Dynometer
Centrifugals won't really do any better on mileage, they just make their power in a different part of the powerband. I'd go Kenne Bell intercooled all the way.

That hunk of junk? Yeah, well I've made a few special modifications to that yellow 99 Gt, it makes the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and eats turbo japs and poops chevy's

I still got 25-26mpg highway with mine. It does have the potential for single digit mpg though if you keep your foot in it enough.

I run the Saleen Series IV and love it. Run the 2.8 (10-12psi) pulley, and the Chicane Intercooler upgrade... Im not afraid of any of the KB 1.7/2.1 guys....
