I agree with most Matt, but to be fair to Ford, they were the ones that came out with the idea of making a modern version of the vintage classics. They killed with the 05' Mustang, the sad thing is they see what Chevy and Dodge are doing and they put out this sad attempt at hanging with them. If I had the money for a new car in 2009 I'd get a camaro over the mustang for sure. Way sexier and faster. You're totally right on the "Big if" comment. Scary times for sure. I think they just need to manage their facilities tighter. Fire the execs and get working p.m.'s on the floor and out of their comfortable offices. It's that simple. They just want a bail out since our government was so mistakenly generous to the banks lately. Little off topic, sorry. Back onb topic- 2010 mustang- pointless to have even changed. Could make it look a lot different and better with a few aftermarket parts
You make a good point. I think the car looks slick, but it is kinda a sorry attempt to keep up with the camaro or challenger. Im not a fan of the looks of the camaro..especially the interior which i think is hideous....but its gonna have a very strong engine. But camaros have always been faster than a stang stock for stock, but we all cant forget what happened in the earlier 2000's, Ford sold more stangs then GM sold camaro/trans am combined. I see this happening in the near future honestly, remember the GTO?

If they wanted a redesign while sticking with the classic look, maybe they should have decided to do an update of a different classic style, perhaps an updated style of the '69 Mach 1. I think that would be pretty kick ass. Instead we got a futurized version of an updated classic.

I dont know. The camaro looked like a wedge in the early 2000's and deserved to go away. The new camaro looks awesome. I dont see it going away for quite some time. If ford wants to outsell the camaro in the future it's going to have to 1up them. The Camaro will lead until that happens. Challenger is cool but will only do ok. GTO? you mean that suped up grand am they came out with, lol. There has been a good GTO since the classic, and whoever came out with the design on that GTO should get slapped, but not slapped as much as the person that allowed that design to go to production.

Well i guess we all have different opinions. I dont like the new camaro, i would take an f body wayyy before the new one but id do an LS3 swap haha. Even if you didnt like the early 2000 camaro you cant tell me a WS6 Trans Am does not look good. If i didnt have my stang and wanted a GM i would buy a slightly used camaro or trans am before i would a new camaro...call me crazy if you want jmo.

Dear crazy, lol, j/k you are entitled to your opinion, thats what makes these forums fun. I have to say that is the first time, and I wouldnt be surprised to hear that being the last time, someone said they like the early 2000 camaro over the new one. I know for sure you are in the minority of opinion on this matter. I would say if you put the 2 side by side and had people vote on which one they like, the new camaro would get aroung 95% of the votes.

I think 95% is a little high, ive talked to a lot of people who dont like it not to mention some people on here. I think it looks like a beast from the front...but other than that ehhh. And the interior is horrible...i think GM tried to make it look too modern. Its a muscle car not a spaceship. Just not my taste...but i wasnt crazy about the new mustang in 05 at first then it grew on me, so who knows 5 years from now if the car is even still out it might grow on me a little, but i KNOW i wouldnt trade in anything i own to have one.
Oh and ive read and heard from people who i worked with at Ford that it is supposed to get the 6.2L 400+ hp in 2011 models, but could possibly change before then.
