Default Short Throw swap

How hard is it to change my stock shifter to say an MGW short throw?

Not hard at all.
If you can can change the oil you can do this one in no time!

Unscrew the shifter knob off the shifter.
Pop off the shifter boot and pull it off.
You'll see the bolts that bolt the shifter to the tranny unscrew them.
The shifter will pull off .
Scrap the old silicone or gastket off be careful not to get any in the tranny.
Put a new gasket or silicone on the shifter area on the tranny I use black silicone.
Put it on bolt it up and your good to go!!

The MGW comes with an installation video and if you do a search on this and other forums there is a write up by a guy named Taco Bill, which is excellent. I used it about 14 months ago when I installed mine.

mgw come with instructions as im sure others do too but there is not way to mess it up if you pay attention! also dont forget its a great time to go ahead and check or swap your fluid since you can just pour it in the top. depending on the tranny that you have you have to pop the little back cap off but its easy just take your time and dont jop anything in like above said!!! and you will LOVE MGW atleast I DO
