Default Fading paint on hood, roof & trunk.

I've noticed that on my hood, roof and trunk my paint is starting to fade away. It looks ashy and is'nt shiny anymore. Im suspecting its from the weather conditions from where i used to live. Either it was dumping snow, or 85+ degress.

Is there any way to refurbish the paint without getting a new paint job all together?

help, please?

You could try using a cleaner wax on it, or buffing it with extra cut rubbing compound first, then regular cut, then polish.

Check out the show and shine section. what you will need to do is polish it up with a good polish/cleaner. It will depend on how bad the oxidation is as far as the strength of the polish used. Then wax it well with a polymer type polish wax such as Mequires, Turtle wax, or Zaino .

Definitely sounds like it's time for some elbow grease on the car. A clay bar treatment would go far to help out also. Undoubtedly a lot of what you're seeing is buildup in the pores of the paint. A clay bar will get that stuff out and give you a much better surface to start polishing with.
