I'm considering adding air shocks to get a little lift to the rear of my 2002 GT. Any suggestions for brand or type or alternative to get another inch or two height.

IMO air shocks are crap. i have them in the rear on my car and the quality isn't all that good, especially for a DD like my car is. they were already on my car is the only reason they're still on there. its one of the next things to go.

Hey Dennis,
Air shocks aren't really all that great, I will have to agree with the other stang comment...I too have them but they're installed on my 1965 Stang, so I tend to like them...makes up for the old leave springs that tend to sag with age...LOL...go figure!...Got to Auto Zone, they will hook you up with some Air shocks for around $60 bucks, fairly easy to install, just be very careful in observing the secure routing of the lines, cause the pipes will melt them in a nano-second! Been there, done that!

Maybe I'm a bit confused, but aren't air shocks suppose to improve ride quality? More Lincoln-esqe versus performance based? Or am I thinking of something else...
