It depends on what you want really, the 4.6 modular SOHC has more high end power and less maintenance in some respects....but the 5.0 Pushrod has more low end torque which comes in handy for quick launches of a light and whatnot. Just incase you dont know...the Modular engine has a single overhead camshaft that sits ontop of the pistons lifting the valves as it rotates, while the pushrod has the camshaft on the bottom and actually has rods that move up and down controlling the valves for exhaust and intake hence why the 5.0 can be slightly more to maintain depending on how you drive.
