i actually really really like the 96-98 style the best, espically with the hood and in black or white is a dream for me. but while speaking about cars at school, i think the most powerful one at my school is an 09 m3

well for some reason I dont like the 94-98 styling. I think it looks too plain. And an 09 M3? thats a really nice car, there is nothing at my high school like that. When I get my new car Im gonna beg for a teachers parkinglot pass, since itll be one of the nicest cars at school and I wont want it getting messed with.

just for that white cobra see if you can find out all the details as to what has been done with it. then post up what's done so we can comment etc. even though it is a wicked deal, it is still 13 years old. if i were you i would try talking your parents into giving you a loan and going with that 01 cobra.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails

The insurance rates are only for that of a GT not a mach 1 or Cobra just a thought I too was going to get a mach 1 back in Nov but I found my GT already procharged and I couldn't be happier with it.

Nice. Too bad the selection here sucks. There is a GT i think its an 02 with 40k miles 30 miles from here and they guy is asking 9500 Ill call him too and if I can get it for way less Id go for it. But at 9500, only 2500 less than a cobra, its not too good of a deal compared to that cobra.
And thanks on the info on insurance, so i guess they will all be the same to insure (unless its a vert) So how much more is a vert to insure? I doubt its that much more right?

i got my 02 gt a little over a year ago with 46,000 miles on it for 9,000 with an added set of new snow tires. should be able to get him to 8500 or 9000 at least depending on the condition it's in.

if It costs more than 8k im going for the cobra. Ill offer him 8k and see what he says. since they go for 9500 all day long, if he actually wants to sell it fast he will need to go less.

well here are 2 close by with decent mileage
Cars.com: 2002 Ford Mustang GT
Cars.com: 2002 Ford Mustang GT
they seem stock and coupes. The cheaper one might be an auto, it doesn't say.

I'll take power over looks all day long, but that's just me. I also am not a huge fan of the 94-98 style stangs, but If there was a cobra with that kind of mileage and power for under 10k near me when i bought my car I would have offered him an extra $1-200 just to hold it for me so I can get the loan taken out; it's a steal for 8.5k.

alright. There are also some really cheap, too cheap, mustangs, I assume they are scams (like a $3500 05) So I wont bother with those.
And I emailed the guy with the 96 cobra, so we'll see.

I am actually one of the few people on here who like the 94-98 body style more than the New Edge or the S-197 bodies... lol I think that the two newer models look ok but I love the way that my body style looks in comparison.

I say go for the 01 Cobra though. They are such nice cars and they are fun as hell to drive too. Although I wouldn't get a vert., to much added weight for me but if you like it go for it.

Well as for the vert, well it should be nice since I plan on going to Austin for college (fingers crossed) and the weather is nice there. But I really don't care that much, but I dont see any low mileage decently priced 01 coupes near me.
