Best Mustang To Buy

yes im in the market to buy a mustang gt. im sure most of uall have already seen my post about the 2004 mustang gt, and i have about 10 grand in cash. but i was wondering which would be the best year to get 2002, 2003, or 2004. besides the obvious fact that each year would be newer and in 2004 u can get the 40th anniversary. so besides the obvious which would be the best year to get. i dont mind spendin more to get the 04 40th anniversary but if i can get a cheaper car and has the same things has the other year, it would be dumb to not get it. hopefully that didnt come off to confusing. so wat would ual recommend to get. 10 grand cash. prolly going to be getting it from an auction with my mechanic like my other post said. 5 spd is a must, coupe, and gt acourse. perferibly lowest miles i can get. any ideas

Well your looking at the wrong generation my friend, EVERYONE knows the '96 GT is by far one of the best modern-ish mustangs out!!...Personally Id go with the '04

Ha the '96 is the first year with the 4.6, its a decent car I mean itll handle the abuse that I as a 16yr. old put it through but thats not to sat I dont maintain it very well or have it set up to handle it...The '04 will have less miles, the engine will prbably have been treated much nicer and its less likely to have more than one owner...Also if you ever find your self in a bind the 40th anniv. edition is worth just a bit more than other models...And the '96 is the best because I own one, no explanation needed...The '04 is definetly the best choice but hold your money and wait for other opinions because thats not my generation mustang there may be others who know more about that gen. that can help you out much more...Good luck and enjoy!!...

2002-04 are the same but i suggest the 03--04 i will list you some features cuz not even being those years will have it thats why theres deluxe and premium versions.

some have dual power seats, rear window defroster, traction on/off mach 460-1000 system which has more speakers and 3-4 amps on the bag with 2 subs on each corner. leather seats and i've seen one with a sunroof.
also somes have a the long side decal that says mustang-gt.

really not that many differences. i would just shoot for whatever you can find in the best condition/lowest miles. and im pretty sure mustangs do not come with sunroofs from the factory.

I own an 03 GT Convertible. I bought this particular one because the body was in good shape, it runs great, and it had nost of the options I wanted. So for me 02,03,04 they're basically all the same-I just wanted a good looker-a good runner-and a low mile car.

I was watching some pics on ebay and a dealer was selling one with sunroof remember that dealers charge you a lot for small luxuries like the long side paint that says mustang gt what's why the buyer don't want it. that simple decal cost like 800-1200!!! who will want to pay that.??

if im not mistaken the 00-04 mustang gts have the same engines and make the same horse power stock...not to sure about the anni.

i have a 00 mustang gt and before u decide my only suggestion would be to find out what mods u plan on adding to the car and just surfing the net to see if u can find what u want for that year.. 10k is a good amount of money so u can get a solid car with low miles and have money left over instead of just spending it all on ride...only paid 3k for my 2000

ok from 99-01 they had a different dash than the 02-04 now it doesn't have the stereo and tape seperatly now they're together and it has 3 new buttons on the bottom which one is the trac on/off.
also 02-04 have better trannys and engines (inside)
which obviously last more power.plus they make the same hp.
If you want to then a 02 will be good for you. they have better engine/tranny cuz some were romeo's and windstar.

You should look for a 2002 Bullitt. Comes with the twin bore 57mm throttle bodys, 13inch Cobra brakes, subframe connectors, aluminum Intake, Bullitt rims. Dont have the rear spoiler which looks nice. I think their rated 5 more horsepower than GT's. Nice cars, and their rare. Good luck man

Dont just keep your options down to the GT's ... look around for maybe a mach1 cobra bullitt, etc...

You have your price now be patient and look for the best deal.. dont rush cuz the next week a better deal might stare you in the face and it would be too late... either way nice choice on the stang' coolest baddest mutha on the planet...
