yes some of you have prolly already read my other post about the car im looking for, i have around 10 grand and looking for an 03 or 04 gt. but i was wondering what was the diffreences between say 99 and the 03 and 04 and what is everyones favorite year and why they bought it. everyone has their own reasons for why the bought that year so i was jus curious and beens i didnt wanna post another thread that is almost identical to my other one, im really justcurious and wanting to tlk bout em im so anxious to get mine and wont be able to for another month or two i jus wanna tlk and learn everything i can
Favorite year, but limited to between '99 and '04 then?
I like the looks of the '01 Cobra better than the '99 Cobra because it has smoked headlights (instead of plain), a nice rear wing spoiler (instead of the uglier refrigerator door handle style rear spoiler used in '99), and a far improved interior with suede-style alcantara inserts in the leather seats and the coiled snake emblem embroidered in the seatbacks. I like the '99 and '01 Cobra front fascia better than the more bulbous '03 and '04 Cobra front fascia and also better than the standard GT front fascia which was also used on the '03 and '04 Mach1s. I like the cleaner sides of the '99 and '01 Cobras without the fake side scoops that are on both the '03 and '04 Cobras and Mach1s. However, the '03 and '04 Mach1 hood with factory shaker scoop is the best looking of all hoods between '99 and '04. (I'm not a fan of the dual-vent hood used on '03 and '04 Cobras.) Which is why I added the complete Mach1 shaker hood to my '01 Cobra.
So my favorite Mustang styling from those years is my own '01 Cobra with '03-'04 factory Mach1 shaker hood (combining the best of both). Plus mine is one of only 55 mineral grey Cobras with the two-tone medium parchment leather interior (most people ordered mineral grey Cobras with the dark charcoal interior). The medium parchment interior really compliments the mineral grey exterior. When my Mother saw the car after I bought it, she said it looked like the Cobra's two-tone medium parchment interior was specifically designed for use with mineral grey paint and that it couldn't look as good with any other color exterior. (Please note that the medium parchment seats and steering wheel, etc. are only two-tone in the Cobra interior: medium parchment is just a light tan color in the Mustang GT interior and not nearly as special.)

GTs came with the hood scoop and cobra style side scoops. Aluminum crossover on intake manifold and the 3650. I like my t45, but I wish my car would have come with an aluminum cross over and the side scoops.
Another thing to note is the change in the spoiler. The newer the car, generally the better. If you're looking at a 1999, that's a 10 year old car. That's getting there.
