Default 350z or My 2000 Mustang Gt?

well the other day my dad and i went out to look at some cars. He wants me to get a more "fuel efficient" car(even though he also has a 94 gt that belongs to him), so he suggested that we go and visit the used toyota dealership. I decided to just go along for the ride, and when we got to the dealer, i saw this royal blue 350z with black rims and a chrome lip. We also popped the hood, and saw that it had a CAI, but im not sure if there were any tother mods added. I test drove it, and it just seemed speedy. I guess my main question is, should i trade in my 2000 gt (66,xxx miles and theyre giving me 9400$ for trade in value) for this i believe 05 350z with around 50,xxx miles? oh yeah, i dont think that this is what my dad had in mind when he said a more fuel efficient car lol. And one more thing, the 350z was listed for 15, but the dealer said with a trade in, he could give it to us out the door for 6k.

Hm. That's a pretty nice trade in deal. I was offered $2500 for my V6 with 67k miles and in relatively great condition when I was going to trade in for a GT.
The 350 is a nice car. I don't think I'd want to get myself in any more debt, though.

honestly you dont seem like your driving anything with fuel economy in mind. IMO I would sell go with a 03-04 Mach 1. There about the same price as a 350Z but theyll be much more fun. screw fuel efficent

Well it depends on how you see things. If you want a newer car you should get it. You should drive the mustang down to the dealership and test drive the Z, so that when you drive the mustang home, you get a good idea of which one you like more.

Now, if it was me. I wouldn't be financing a thing right now, and definitely wouldn't be caught dead in anything with a Nissan badge that wasn't a turbocharged 300zx.

no dude, nooooo. you still have to finance 6k. screw that, b/c you know you'll want to mod it. i saw keep the gt and if you want good gas then drive slow, but if you want a beast of a ride, mod the v8 gt and smoke the ever living s%^$ out of everything in your way. my buddy had a 350 and with little miles on it well kept it started falling apart. just my 2cents. i say no deal

The 350z I think is not that good on gas maybe a little bit but that car is my favorite one. I always wanted one but then a found a deal on my stang and i bought it, but right now i'm saving for a gt after that i'm getting that one.

The 350z is slower than the gt but the interior look really good compared to the gt. I has dvd, gps, subs, but it weight more.

But its your choice cuz i don't know if you like to mod your cars or not.

I don't like to say this but stock vs stock the gt takes it, the 350z is overated or weights a lot more than people say. But still is a good engine 3.5 v6 289 (not sure) vs. 3.8 v6 190hp. The new ones are faster than the gts.

forget that !!! LOL tell your dad to just get u a tuner for "fuel economy" lol ... tell him it'll help !! it's alot cheaper than a new car !!! and u don't want a 350 z... because everytime a GT pulls up next to you, you'll b mad !! trust me !! i had a 04 SRT-4 ... (tuner i know, i sry !! first car tho)
and i had a stage 3 turbo on it and it would wax my gt .. now i see them everywhere and it makes me mad.. but then again .. i love my stang more than any other car i've had so ...
