so we just got back from test and tune 1/8 th mile and my 03 gt ran
9.27 at 76 mph i could nt get it to hookup for **** i guess i need some drag radials it could be worse my car is an auto with cai,pullies,a tune,70mmtb and plenum,and 4;10s it would have been better if i didnt spin half way down the track
i am going to try to make it to a 1/4 mile track next week 1/8 th mile is kinda boring but the track is close by

yea just like you said you need to make that thing hook up. DR's are very good start but I would also consider some upper and lower control arms.

I strongly recommend you rebuild the rearend to compensate for the weak 28 spline axles that have been notorious for snapping like tooth picks when using drag radials or slicks. You'll need to upgrade to a 31-spline LSD and 31 spline axles and you'll be set to go. This doesn't require new gears thankfully. Also check out the Eibach Drag Launch Springs... these REALLY help you hook if its what you want.

From what Ive heard a drag radial... like nitto or bfgoodrich will be fine on your stock axles. When you go those dot drag slicks (MT ET Streets, etc....) and beyond is when you should consider beefing your axles.
