retard 1* for every 50 shot, buy a hand held tuner.
Dude really find a dealer that has a 03 or 04 cobra and go drive it.
Your eyes will lite up and you will want one and not the gt. It is what you are looking for

if you would get a cobra or roush then your insurance would probably go up even more and me personally like working on my car i just got a supercharger on mine and i would have rather done that then spending a ton of money on a new car, insurance, monthly payments lol you get my drift..but i suggest bolt ons and gears to start and programmer

+1 on that very good point also I don't know if this is true but I heard that the insurance rates on the term cobras are higher than the Zo6 vette and if you a young dude that will be very expensive.

Gears will wake your car up. Be warned I lost 3mpg with 3.73s you will lose 5-6 mpg with 4.10s. Nitrous is safe with a good tune. The general rule of thumb is 50 shot factory tune 75 hp max factory tune(pushing it) 100hp (requires custom tune) 150hp (max on stock car with stock shortblock. I would reccomend a 100hp NX plate kit with a window switch, purge, and bottle heater. Then see if you want gears. You will definately notice gears and with a 100 shot you will be running about 1 second faster in the 1/4 (Like a stock LS1 SS)

No matter what way you slice it, you're going to have a job ahead of you if you want to beat the new Camaro with a 2000 GT. As a mustang guy, I despise camaros on general principle, but that new SS is fast! I have to agree with the guys who suggested just buying the Terminator, but if that doesn't appeal to you, I think you'll have to go the turbo/supercharger route if you want this thing to still be a DD. NOS is good for nothin' but drag racing, if you want to be able to smoke those camaos at will. If you don't want to get rid of your ride ... well ... you can always find a few wrecked Terminators on Ebay, you could always buy it and start swappin' parts. That way you'll have the stuff you'll need (brakes, suspension, tranny, etc) Good luck with whatever you choose.
