got a speeding ticket!
i was going about 120 for a good while i dont know why i stopped... probably could of gotten off the freeway and lose the cop
how much are speeding tickets here in cali? the cop knocked it down to 80 but my friends say they're 500 now because of the state budget and blah blah blah
soooo anyway i can fight it!?

make sure you read over the ticket carefully....my friend and i both got off because the cop had written the ticket wrong...he wrote that my car was a blue ford but it is silver and my friend got off because he wrote down the plates wrong

120 would be criminal speed in Arizona. Depending what the speed limit was if it was 26 MPH over the limit, it is and you can be arrested for criminal speed.
You did it? own up to it and take care of it, you may be eligible for a defensive driving school, check it out

the thing is that he just saw me going fast he didnt actually use a speed gun or whatever
i was doing about 120 he said i was going pretty fast for a while and wrote down i was going 80
now if i say he didnt actually get my speed he might just lie and say i was going faster than 80

They (most) are trained to estimate speed and it can be used in court as "based on my training and experience" and they can testify to what the visually estimated. He cut you a big break!

Fess up and take the ticket. I think you've learned your lesson.
For not even racing I really don't think you have a reason for going over one hundred miles an hour in a civilian area.
well if i were you i would def ask the prosecutor if you could take defensive driving school. if they say yes then your lucky! and if your friend owns a school why you even worried about it. good job not running regular cop cars go about 140. if you can do better then that i say next time smoke em.

Well sure, cop cars can go 140. And a lot of cars can go faster than that. But I guarantee nothing can outrun the radio. You will get caught. Do not attempt to run from the cops.
