Hello fellow mod-aholics. I am struggling right now. It's very simple but it's eating me up inside. I want (no...I NEED) to buy something for my car. I've been craving a shorty antenna from americanmuscle for quite awhile now. Just one...
But I just spent 140 to get my windows tinted a few weeks ago. And I'm a broke jobless college student right now. I have to honor my parents' request to save my money until I can find a job.
Anybody ever find themselves in the same situation? I know I can't be the only one going through this.
I think right now everybody is hurting, I know I am. Best thing is to to what your parents said. Focus on your school work and save the modding until after school is finished, in the long run it'll help you a lot more, and you'll find that if you do well in school you'll be able to afford a lot more mods and other things you want later on instead of having to struggle. Most of us on here have a serious addiction to modding our cars, but discretion is the better part of valor. If you really need to do something on your car, wash wax and detail it yourself, the cost is almost nothing, and the results are great.

That hunk of junk? Yeah, well I've made a few special modifications to that yellow 99 Gt, it makes the Kessel run in 12 parsecs and eats turbo japs and poops chevy's
I spent the entire weekend looking for rims and tires for my ride on the Net....And it's not the only thing I was looking for my Stang....I know how you feel, about the urge to buy something for the car....But I'm not a broke jobless college student right now but I have to spend wisely....
When I need a mod fix, but am low on cash, I like to spend a day detailing the car. Maybe give something a good cleaning that hasn't had it in a while. Maybe paint something. I recently repainted the hood and side scoop grills.

I couldnt have said it better you 2!
And I agree with both of them too because I am a high school student with a part time job most of my money goes to my car payment and the rest goes to going out with my girlfriend Lol. But when I do have spare money I do a mod if I dont well I do what drkhgross and racin366 said just go out their spend some time with your stang detail her! I wanted to do a mod to my car but couldnt afford it so I ended up buying a $7 dollar can of break caliper paint and man does my baby look good now!

i think i need a support group for my mod addiction lol. its so bad for me i almost always have to be looking for something else to add to my car. right now im waiting for a push button start to come in the mail that i got for like 4$ but im still stoked and cant wait for it to get here. i almost bought a hood ive been dying to get the other day but even my addiction couldnt justify spending 800$ on something that doesnt make it perform better but i came real close to just buying it anyway. there are sometimes where ill just type in mustang parts on ebay and just start brousing page after page to see if anything catches my eye thats when i know i have an addiction lol.

im an addict ill admit it. detailing her does help relieve it some but still there are still times. sometimes i can spend days of internet surfing and reserching until i find the right product that i want at the right price. it seems everyday im looking up something for her.

Mine does too, LOL
When I had a White 76 Stingray, she couldn't understand the time I spent polishing it, etc. Then the 67 Mustang coupe, now they are gone and all I have is this 2000 GT with more $$$ spent on mods then I paid for the other two cars combined.
