Default what size tires will fit my wheels?

ok guys i have the stock 16" wheels for my gt. i was wondering what size tires will fit this rim, stock is 225 55 16. Also i have a set of 17" cobras, and wanted to know if its better to run drag radials on the 16's or 17's.

Put drag radials on the 16"'s as they have less rotational mass which equals to faster acceleration. Put street tires on the Cobra 17's. go to Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle and look up their tire guide to find suitable sizes for your wheels and car year.

+1. Also, the tire on the 16'' rim will be a little taller allowing the side to absorb some of the initial grunt helping you hook up better.
