I got a K&N FIBK intake about three weeks ago I was just wondering I see pictures of people with there K&N intakes with a drilled hole and a tube going in there I saw on my intake that there was a little circle that is meant to be drilled into to put a sensor of some sort I was just wondering on a 2003 Mustang GT is it supposed to be drilled and is there supposed to be something put in there? Lmk if this doesn't make sense and I will try again
same thing w/ my K&N and no, there shouldn't be any drilling or hose to their. on the K&N instructions on how to put it together, it tells u what its for. I dont have mine on me. Look there for your answer!

im pretty sure it's a hole for an air intake temperature sensor. the newer mustangs have it integrated in the MAF sensor so there is no need for an additional sensor.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails

Correct, the 99-01 Mustang GTs had a separate IAT sensor in the inlet air tubing. (The 96-98's may have one too)
