Default $600 worth of engine work

i think im going to set aside $500-$600 for engine work to my car. i want to know what will be the best, most noticeable engine upgrade. i could go a little over the set aside dough if need be....
i had the bottom end rebuild priced at $1400 and thought i might just wait a few wks for the rest of the money to do that but i cant make up my mind.
HELP please!!!!

(or would you just upgrade on looks??)

new crank rods and pistons ( to get more displacement ) and strong pistons are a set up for a nos a tc or a sc

you alredy got the CAI.

i have yet to find some one else who when changing their oil ( every 2000 miles or when they get bored ) details the under side of their car.

X-C April 2010,Heads, Cam,Internals April 2011, or blown engine, witch ever comes first.

Keep saving. $600 doesn't get you far in the engine rebuild dept. Nor will a straight rebuild net you "noticeable" results.

If you want an SOTP effect, get some gears (I didn't see any in your sig.) Otherwise, keep on saving for your main goal!

i think i have made up my mind to keep saving. this is how i see it, the more $$ saved and put into engine work = the more hp gain.

Set a horsepower goal then save up. If the goal is 400 whp or less, save for a blower. If it is over ~450 whp, then save up for a forged block/built shortblock.

I have 110,000 miles on my 2000 GT and 32,000 of them have been with boost. My car still has the untouched longblock that Ford built.
