Default My new 4.6 , and need rims advice

well I've always wanted to drive a Stang, and finally bought one " I call her Gretchen lol " . it has all the modes I wanted from BBK ACI , custom BBK headers, BBK exhaust with no cats, to 2 flowmasters 40 series. Covertable too and that what I dreamed of, but I want to mode it even more.

well, i gotta find a scoop first but thats no problem. howeva, I want yall advice for rims and should I lower it or not ?

I like the rims that is has, but am thinking of FR500's. what yall think? and what tire size i should put ?

and about lowering it , am still thinking. Especially I live in Tx where trucks rub on speed pumps .

I really appreciate this forum, and all of you .
btw: why there is no sticky for yall rides pictures ??

if you want to take it to the track at all get the eibach drag springs. if not their pro kit is a great product from what i hear. the fr500s would go excellent on your car. 18x9 up front and 18x10(or10.5) in the rear.

so I went to americanmuscle.com to find out how much the rims would cost. I choose 17" fr500 9/10 with 275/40 front 315/35 rear. would they fit without spacers ? and is $1,600 a good deal ?

appreciate it mates

i'd take a look at the chrome torque thrust wheels for real. take a look at my 2001 with the 18" wheels. its also lowered a little bit. i love the way mine look but everyone has their own opinion. with your car being a darker color red, chrome will really set off on your car with an inch or two drop.

seems like an alright deal. check out tirerack.com. i got my American Racing Shelby Torque thrust's (17x8 and 17x10.5) for about $850 and they are superior quality. But the FR500's are a very good looking rim. It was tough deciding between what i have now and the anthracite fr500's.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails

am thinking about that, but as I said my car rubbed when i was going out of grocery parking lots and its stock 4x4 springs lol .
one Q for ya tho, did you put the wheels before you drop it ? because am thinking to do that and see how it goes .
