Default Curious to know my horsepower and torque??

Hey, I have a 2003 mustang gt conv. auto.

my mods on the car are: 4:10 gears, flowmaster exhaust, and k&n intake.
how much horsepower and torque you think i have overall gained from all these mods???? anyone have any idea..
I heard the 4:10 gears increase the torque from 280 to 335????? other then that dont know. if someone can give me an estimate would be great Thanks

Gears don't add hp or tq, it's a trade off you make your power transfer quicker but you give up some top end speed.
I'm sure someone can explain it better. As for hp numbers, a stock gt put out 260 flywheel hp. It being an auto i's say rwhp would probably be in the 230-240 range. Just a guess though.

230-235. Intake and catback really don't add much. Gears aren't an adder.

i just got back from having my car tuned by doug from bamachips and my numbers were 230.26rwhp and 263.34mt before the tune and 236.94rwhp and 271.73mt after the tune so that should give you an idea i only have a few more mods than you do

i'd love to know who the nugget is telling you kids gears give you hp/torque.. dont hate me on this guys.. im pretty sure stock 99-04 including compression raise manuals are 220 wheel from the factory and autos are 190hp. flowmaster catback + knn cold air intake should get you somewhere around 210-215hp wheel. about 250trq

OK I am going to chime in also. NO gears DO NOT add power!!!
Just like Jerry said, it is a trade off. You can make it quicker 0-60 with lower gears but you lose top end speed OR if you give your car higher gears you will have a slower 0-60 but you will gain your top end. Most people do not want to go 200 MPH so a 373 or 410 swap usually works out well but if you go too low in your gears then you will start to really hurt your gas mileage and it also may be annoying on the interstate.

I would suggest using the dyno for what it is, a tuning tool, and not worrying so much about the numbers from other people's cars. Different dynos on different days can vary a lot, so don't try to compare your numbers with someone else's done 1500 miles away on a different dyno. That being said, try to use the same dyno every time when measuring increases from mods, or you're really not getting the best data. Even the same dyno on different days can be off a few HP because of variable such as weather, etc.

mine dynoed at 50 rwhp with a 100 shot and runs 11's freaking amazing. if your car performs well dont stress over numbers.

Don't let the no gain in horsepower discourage you, bigger gears should get you out the hole faster, atleast you'll feel like its picked up in horsepower, actually if you lined up next to a replica but stock gears, youd have the upper hand but then reaction time would be the name of the game then. Youd still pull faster.

who likes a dyno queen anyway. what should matter is what is does on the street. do 3.73 gears. full intake, exhaust and all your bolt on tunes and get her tuned and it will be fast. when i did all that to my gt when i had it, i was very disapointed in the dyno b/c it dynoed at like 270ish. but on the street it was an animal
