Hey guys i drive an automatic 2000 GT and i was wondering if deliverying pizza once a week every saturday for like 6 hours is bad? my dad is constantly telling me to stop because itll destroy my car, another guy i work with uses an 06 i think, STi manual, so i dont see the problem besides racking up some miles, but the moneys good and it pays for the car
Naa, we all drive to work, school or to the store everyday right? Go on vacation and drive alot of times right? Nothing more than driving normal.
When you deliver, maybe keep it running so your not starting and stopping the car, most wear and tear occurs. Also, if you drive up and they don't tip so well, it's cause your driving a nice ride and they don't think you need it. Trust me, i know.

I felt the same way when I started school. Even going three days a week, it was a hike. The pros outweighed the cons. If it's a dd and you don't have a choice, priorioties come first. It's a bummer sometimes, but you can save a bit of money on the side from working for mods.

I delivered pizzas before and during college, and I can honestly say I'm an expert, I took at least 50,000 runs (40-70 a night on average)... its hell on your car, and especially in a V8. Its much worse than regular driving. If I were you, I'd get a beater to deliver in and keep the Mustang as your driver. A $100 piece of crap with a peewee 4 cylinder is perfect for delivering, a Mustang, not so much.

racin 366, 40 to 70? where the hell did oyu work? im lucky to get at least 10 on a saturday afternoon, its usually no more than a quarter tank of gas so tahts wat? like 7miles? not even
I used to deliver pizzas when I was a teenager, and got an old Toyota Corolla to drive for like $600. It's a lot of wear and tear on a car. But, if that's what you've got to do to pay the bills in today's world, it's what you've got to do.
It was in Gainesville Florida, and the place I delivered for was open 24/7. On a football weekend when we were real busy we could crank out about 300 pizzas an hour, its sick. You wouldn't believe how many drunk college kids order pizza at 3:30 in the morning. Supposedly Gainesville consumes more pizza per capita than any other city in the world, and I don't find it hard to believe, there are people there that don't know their own phone number, but the know the pizza place's number.
