You WILL need the adapter and a set of DIN tools if you havent already got some.
Okay, if by CD player you mean head unit(HU) THEN.
Get A pair of DIN tools, wire strippers, wire connectors, electric tape.
Insert the DIN toolls, pull out the H.U.
Unhook ALL the connections,
Next uninstall the rectangular harness that is about 4in. in length, you will be able to disconnect it from a connection in the car and H.U
Rewire the ford harness to your adaptor, not all wires will have a place to go so just tape 'em off.
THIS IS WHERE THE ADAPTOR COMES INTO PLAY.
Attach adaptor to the either 6 or 8 amp connection depending on which adapter you hace,
NOTE: THe amp connections are the two gey wires with silver atteachments you pulled from the Driver side of the headunit, only one will be used.END NOTE
DONT forget the antenna now, attach that too.
and most importantly, ground it. Use the black wire to find a ground,
NOTE: It will be very difficult to find a ground so the antenna conncetion can be used to ground the H.U.END NOTE
Now that all the wores are done slide the din sleeve over the H,U and attach all connections to the H.U.
TEST make sure it works
TEST again
TEST and again
now gently slide the H.U into position, and attempt to move all wires to the bottom passengar side, and quickly slide it in.
As for the CD player itself ,
Use Din tools, diconnect the useless harnesses and use the crutchfield adaptor, its basically a pockoret and will hold 3 CD cases or whatever you want.
