Look foward to the mileage report. Hey, I just noticed that you are in Murfreesboro, are you familiar with Barrett Firearms? Ronnie Barrett is a standup guy, got a lot of respect for him.
I don't know him, but I do know around where he works. The location is not very well advertised. LOL

I have the vortech v1 which is the older model and is the one that you have to tap into the oil pan. It wasn't hard at all and I haven't had any problems with it at all. It got me exactly what I wanted, which was a loud whistle at idle, and then when I stomp on it the whistle goes away and it sounds like a jet taking off even with my loud exhaust. But again you should go to youtube and listen to the whistle of the vortech or get the SQ version which eliminates the whistle of the supercharger. Also you have to decide if you want the wine of a twin screw which some people like it and some don't. again it is up to preference. It is a lot of money and a big investment so research research research is all I can say. I think right now is a good time to buy because there are a lot of supercharging companies and times are hard right now so get a good deal. But just make sure that you do enough research so you are happy with what you got. And remember our blocks can only handle around 400rwhp so if you want any higher then you get into forging your bottom end (rods, pistons, crank) which ends up costing a lot of money so usually people stick to just 400rwhp but you will deffinately be a happy leadfoot thats for sure!

Yea the mileage isn't really to bad if you keep your foot out of it I have averaged between 17 and 21 mpg of mixed driving and I do stab the throttle one or two times a tank. And the feeling of 'spoolin up' with a centri blow is pretty sweet but like stated earlier I think a twin screw would be better for a street car. That low end boost would be nice.

Im thinking of buying a roush charger and the short block assembly to take the horsepower... of course its alot of money to do this the only reason I was going with Roush was becasue of the warranty policy... are there any other brands that do warranty their product?

procharger has a 1 year warranty and for an extra $50 you can upgrade to a 3 year warranty. kenne bell also has a 1 year warranty. the market is getting pretty competitive so im sure most companies are selling them with warranties now.

He's looking to include some nice brakes and handling pieces as well ("Baers"). I'd have to see the whole list to know whether I thought it was a bargain, though. One thing about buying such an overall kit is that the various parts have had expert engineers test them as a total - something which IS attractive.
